Horace Armistead, American (1918 – 1975)

Horace (Horus) Armistead was an American painter, best known for his set and costume designs for a variety of plays, ballets, and operas in the 1930s through the 1950s. In 1948, he won a Tony Award for Best Set Design for The Telephone/The Medium.
